NEW GERMANY IMPORT LAW - OPPORTUNITIES OF SKILLED LABOR
From March 1, 2020, the new German immigration law for qualified workers from countries outside the EU has officially come into force.
How will the immigration law affect foreign workers in general and Vietnamese workers in particular? Is this a "golden" opportunity for qualified Vietnamese workers? For study abroad in Germany? For young people who have just graduated from school but can't find a good job opportunity in Vietnam? For young people who have graduated from vocational secondary school who want to have a higher income, better career development?
The following insights from H&A will help you understand the information to make the best decisions for your future career and life.
Why did the German government issue a new immigration law?
By 2060, Germany will need about 260,000 migrant workers each year, of which more than half are not EU citizens. As Germany's labor force shrinks due to a low birth rate, the proportion of the elderly population increases.
Germany is a country with a developed economy, the economic "leading" of the European region. In addition, the world's best social security regime, completely free learning (only 01/16 German states collect a part of university tuition fees), a civilized living environment. So there is no doubt that Germany has become the destination of workers who "want to change their lives" from many countries around the world, including Vietnam.
To meet the labor demand, ensure the development of the economy, stabilize the public welfare system, the German government "opens the door" to migrant workers from countries outside the EU. But the door is only really open to qualified workers.
