COST OF STUDYING IN GERMANY
Studying abroad in Germany is not expensive, it will even be considered cheap if you compare the advantages of this program, such as: Excellent training program when theory and practice go together, study area fees, salary while studying, great job opportunities, the opportunity to settle down with the best social security in the world...
From a financial perspective: The tuition fee waiver and salary right at the start of the apprenticeship program makes the cost of studying in Germany much lower than the cost of studying abroad in other countries, because students are considered as only losing money. Initial investment costs for learning German and service costs. Once they have come to Germany and started studying, students will not have to pay extra costs and will soon "recover their capital". So how much money do you need to prepare to study abroad in Germany, let's find out with H&A
Cost of learning German
German Government requirements are to have a German B2 certificate to be able to participate in vocational training. However, when you have a B1 certificate, you can apply for a visa to Germany and complete a B2 certificate in Germany before you can join an apprenticeship. So, there are two ways to fulfill the German language requirement for vocational training abroad:
• Learn German in Vietnam to B2 certificate and then go to vocational training.
• Learn German in Vietnam to B1 certificate, then go to Germany to continue studying for B2 certificate to be able to learn a job
If you follow method 1, you must at least study for 1 year in a row and pass 4 exams to achieve B2 certificate. The average tuition fee per month is 4 million VND. Each test of 4 skills costs 3 million VND. Thus, it will cost you about 48 million VND for 12 months of language learning and 12 million VND for the certification exam fee, a total of about 60 million VND.
If you do it in method 2, the total cost you have to pay in Vietnam is about 40 million VND to get the B1 certificate. And yet, when you come to Germany, you must continue to study for a B2 certificate. Many schools offer free B2 courses to students, but many also require tuition fees. It takes 4-6 months to get a B2 certificate from an existing B1 level. The cost of studying B2 in Germany in case of a fee is about 1000 Euro plus your accommodation cost during the language study period is about 700 Euro/month (described below). Thus, in case of loss of tuition fees, you will lose 40 million money to study in Vietnam, 1000 Euros for language study in Germany and 3000 Euros for accommodation while studying in Germany. A total of about 140 million VND. In case there is no tuition fee to study B2 in Germany, you will lose about 120 million VND.
Housing and living expenses
This is the cost of your house, transportation, food, and other expenses. Expenditures are relative to each person, but can be referred to as follows:
• Rent (share or dormitory): 300 Euro/month
• Food cooked or eaten out: 165 Euro/month
• Transportation cost: 85 Euro/month
• Insurance: 65 Euro/month
• Other expenses (health, entertainment, telephone, internet..): 100 Euro/month
• So in total, it will cost you about 700 – 800 Euros a month for your accommodation costs
Tuition fees
Chances are that it won't cost you any tuition to study a trade in Germany. Vocational schools will pay you an amount during your apprenticeship. That fee usually ranges from 800 Euro - 1000 Euro depending on the school and each state. With this amount, you will have enough to cover your living expenses during your studies.
Other costs
Other costs include study abroad consulting costs, application costs, visa costs, application fees to study in Germany, airfare costs, financial verification costs.
The cost of a one-way air ticket from Vietnam to Germany is about 800 Euros. The cost of visa, consultation and other procedures is about 5000 Euro. The total of the above two accounts is about 150 million VND. Financial proof is 8000 Euro, but this amount will be withdrawn and used later, so it is not counted as money to be paid.
Total cost
So it can be seen that the amount of money you have to pay for studying abroad in Germany until you can support yourself will be shown in the following table:

Thus, in the event that you can follow the schedule, for each option you choose, you will have a different cost. It will cost you about 200 million dong until you start to have money to cover if you finish B2 in Vietnam and start studying in Germany. In the school you study B1 in Vietnam and B2 in Germany, the cost is about 300 million VND. The difference is significant so you should think about the plan that is right for you.
