⛄ Canada student visa fees and fingerprinting
In addition to paying tuition fees, you have to pay the Canadian student visa application fee and fingerprinting, totaling $235 CAD (approximately 4.3 million VND – 4/2021 exchange rate). This fee includes:
• Application fee: 150 CAD
• Biometrics fee: 85 CAD
Fingerprinting is a mandatory requirement if you want to study and work in Canada, applied from October 31, 2018 and valid for 10 years.

Fees for medical examination when studying in Canada:
- In Ho Chi Minh City, the cost of a health check is usually about $126 USD (approximately 2.9 million VND – 4/2021 exchange rate) for adults aged 11 and over.
- In Hanoi, the cost of medical examination is $147 USD (about 3.4 million VND – Exchange rate 4/2021)
✿ Fee for making criminal records
This is a type of document issued by the Department of Justice or the National Center for Judicial Records, to provide basic information about an individual, to prove that person has or does not have a criminal record, has a clean background. If you want to study in Canada, Vietnamese students are required to have this type of document, and the cost of making a criminal record is 200,000 VND.
✿ Guardianship fee
Most Canadian high schools will require international students to have a guardian when applying for admission to the school. The average cost of guardianship is 200 - 1,000 CAD (about 3.6 - 18.3 million VND)
✿ Average admission fee
When you apply for admission to a Canadian school, you must pay an application processing fee. Depending on the school you choose, this fee will vary, the average is 100 CAD (about 1.83 million VND).
✿ Translation fee
Documents and records of Vietnamese students must be translated into French or English. Therefore, after preparing the documents, you need to bring the documents for translation at the translation room.
The translation fee is usually 60,000 VND/1 page when translating into English and 110,000 VND/1 page when translating into French.
