WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR VISA APPLICATION AND US STUDENT PROFILE?

1. ENTERPRISE DOCUMENTS
After meeting the GPA and English requirements as required by the school, international students need to prepare the following documents to apply to study:
✎ Application form (according to the application form of the school you are applying to).
✎ Passport copy.
✎ Academic transcripts, transcripts are translated into English.
✎ Certificate of English.
✎ Certificates of SAT, GRE, GMAT, IETLS, TOEFL… (if any).
✎ Diploma of the most recent study program.

3. VISA APPLICATION PROGRAM

Step 2: Ask for advice at reputable study abroad counseling centers

Step 3: Apply for an I-20 from a school in the US
Once a decision has been made, the center will help you complete the application form to submit to the school and proceed to apply for the I20 from the school. Step 4: Receive I-20
When the school you applied for I20 accepts you as a student of the school, you will receive the “I-20 Student Confirmation”. Just having an I-20 confirmation is enough to apply for a visa for F-1 or M-1 students.
✦ F-1 visa: This is the most common type of Student Visa. If you want to study in the United States at an approved college, university, private high school, or English language program, you need an F-1 Visa. You will also need an F-1 Visa if your course is more than 18 hours per week.
✦ M-1 visa: If you plan to attend an apprenticeship or hands-on training at a US institution, you need an M-1 visa.
Step 5: Pay online SEVIS fee
SEVIS is a system to store student information about study tours and student exchange programs. SEVIS I-901 fees are required for both F and M international students as well as exchange students.
Step 6: Pay Visa fee
Your next step is to pay the visa application fees. This fee must be paid at all Vietnam postal branches. However, before paying the fee, you need to register on the application page and select the “make an appointment” option to access the payment method details.
Step 7: Complete Form DS-160
The Visa Application Form (DS-160) is completed online. After completing this form, you will receive an ID number and password to access the website confirming your DS-160 form.
Step 8: Schedule an interview for Visa
The next step is to book an appointment for a Visa interview at the US embassy via the website. You need the following information to schedule an appointment:
➻ Passport number
➻ Receipt number from Visa Fee receipt.
➻ The ten (10) digit barcode number from your DS-160's confirmation page
Once your appointment has been scheduled for an interview, you may receive an interview invitation. Please print out this invitation to bring to the interview.
Step 9: Interview
On the day of the interview you need to complete all the documents. It is extremely important to prepare for the interview smoothly. Make sure your profile is clear, fully describe your purpose and reason for choosing the US, answer honestly and especially be yourself.
You must bring:
☞ Printed copy of DS-160 confirmation page appointment letter
☞ A photo taken within the last six months
☞ Your current passport and all your old passports
☞ Original Visa fee payment receipt.
(Applications without these documents will not be accepted)
Step 10: Visa Result
You will receive the results immediately after the interview. In case of visa refusal, your passport will be returned. In case of being granted a Visa, the passport will be kept at the embassy office and returned 1 week later.
